Driver still trapped in car that hit pole

HUNTSVILLE, AL. -The driver of a Ford Mustang that slammed into a power pole at Green Cove and south Parkway is still trapped in the wreckage. According to witnesses at the scene the car is wrapped around the pole and the pole has been broken in half. more

Flooding possible through Saturday morning

HUNTSVILLE, AL. – The National Weather Service in Huntsville says heavy rains may cause some flooding across north Alabama through Saturday morning.
The first round of rain has been occurring since before daylight with locally heavier rainfall occurring with thunderstorms. more

Driver finally freed from wreckage.

HUNTSVILLE, AL. – The driver of the car that crashed into the power pole at Green Cove and south Parkway has finally been cut free of the wreckage. Rescue crews worked for more than an hour and twenty minutes to free the driver from the car that witnesses described as being wrapped completely around the power pole. The accident happened on rain slicked roads about 6:45 a.m. more
