Huntsville’s Crime Report
Crime Friday, November 14th, 2008Unless otherwise indicated, the following incidents were reported to Huntsville police Wednesday and Thursday. In items with incomplete addresses, police withheld the information:
North precinct
• A 13-year-old boy was reported as a runway on Claiborne Road at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday.
• A 29-year-old man was unlawfully imprisoned on Belgrade Drive from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 6:10 a.m. Thursday.
South precinct
• A 50-inch plasma TV worth $2,000, a DVD player worth $300, $500 cash and $500 in Chinese currency were stolen from the 200 Randolph Avenue overnight Tuesday.
• The personnel file for a former employee of a business at 2009 Gallatin St. was stolen sometime between Oct. 10 and 12.
• A burglar broke into a Cleveland Avenue store overnight Wednesday and stole a $1,200 men’s diamond ring, a $2,500 watch and an officers button with a eagle and shield on it.
• About $2,500 worth of merchandise was stolen from Sam’s Club, 2235 National Blvd., in the last week of October. The theft was reported Thursday morning.
• A brown and white Malte-tzu was stolen on Wynterhall Road at 7 a.m. Thursday. The thief was driving a medium-sized white Audi, according to police reports.
• A 2006 black Dodge Magnum was stolen on Memorial Parkway at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
West precinct
• A laptop computer worth $1,500 and a DVD screen worth $250 were stolen from a 2000 white Ford Explorer in the 6100 block of Karen Davie Drive early Wednesday.
• A $700 laptop computer was stolen from a school at 102 Wynn Drive at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
• Theft of utilities worth $743.97 was reported in the 3100 block of 14th Avenue. The theft occurred between Sept. 16 and Wednesday.
• A burglar broke into the parts building of Bill Penny Toyota, 4810 University Drive, overnight Wednesday and stole eight Motorola two-way radios.
• A 1999 silver Ford Taurus with a Calhoun College sticker was stolen on Newson Road overnight Wednesday.
• A Capital One credit card, a pocket knife, nine ties, a goat skin coat, two long coats and a .25-caliber pistol were stolen from a west Huntsville home between June 15 and Thursday morning.
• An 80-pound, 3-year-old black and tan German Shepherd was stolen from the Dogwood Flat area.
