Tuesday’s Police Blotter

Unless otherwise indicated, the following incidents were reported to Huntsville police Sunday and Monday. In items with incomplete addresses, police withheld the information:

North precinct

• A 1994 red Honda Civic was stolen from the 1000 block of Hoover Street at 5:40 p.m. Sunday.

South precinct

• A $2,000 computer, a printer and a surge protector were stolen from a business at 7501 S. Memorial Parkway during the weekend.
• A burglar broke into a construction site on U.S. 431 South during the weekend and stole eight spools of copper wire worth about $1,000.
• A wallet, a checkbook, an unknown amount of cash, a woman’s wedding band and ring, a driver’s license and credit cards were stolen from a Carl T. Jones supermarket between 9 and 10 p.m. Saturday.
• A digital camera and diaper bag were stolen from a 2004 black Volvo XC90 at a Carl T. Jones church between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Monday.
• A black leather purse, an undisclosed amount of cash, two bottles of Xanax, a bottle of Lortab, an inhaler, a blue jewelry box and two pairs of gold earrings were stolen from someone at Huntsville Hospital, 101 Sivley Road, between 7:35 and 9 p.m. Sunday.
• A burglar broke into a home in the 4100 block of South Memorial Parkway overnight Saturday and stole a PlayStation 3, an XBox 360 and two watches.

West precinct

• Police recovered a small bag of crack cocaine from a 1995 white Ford Crown Victoria in the 3100 block of Drake Avenue at 8:20 a.m. Sunday.
• A 43-year-old man was assaulted in the 2200 block of Clinton Avenue at 1 p.m. Sunday. The suspect was driving a 1972 yellow GMC C1500.
• A burglar broke into a Hood Road home overnight Sunday and stole a .32-caliber revolver and eight cymbals.
• A burglar broke into a Johnson Road home at 1:20 p.m. Sunday and stole a folding knife.
• Police found a plastic bag of cocaine and two syringes in a home in the 3000 block of Ivy Avenue at 2:50 p.m. Sunday.
• A 1989 black Nissan Frontier with no license plate was stolen on 9th Avenue between 1 and 4 p.m. Sunday.
• A 29-year-old woman was assaulted at the intersection of First Street and 10th Avenue at 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
• A 44-year-old man was assaulted in the 2200 Boardman Street at 6:20 p.m. Sunday.
• A burglar broke into a home in the 3700 block of Belvoir Drive early Sunday and stole two pearl bracelets and three pairs of pearl earrings.
• A 9 mm pistol was stolen from a vehicle on University Drive early Monday.
• A car battery was stolen from a 1997 Ford Aerostar van in the 2900 block of Hood Road overnight Sunday.
• A seven-week-old chocolate lab was stolen in the 300 block of Kenneta Boulevard at 10 a.m. Thursday.
• A 20-year-old woman was assaulted in the parking lot of Phoenix Apartments, 4400 Knight Road, at 12:30 a.m. Monday.
• A 1997 green Pontiac Bonneville was stolen on Boxwood Drive overnight Sunday.
• A 37-year-old man was assaulted in the 2900 block of Hood Road at 3:40 a.m. Monday. The suspect was driving a white GEO Tracker.
• A burglar broke into a Boxwood Court home sometime Sunday and stole a Sony digital camera, a laptop computer and an iPod.
